Rosemary and Thomas were married in Ballygowan Presbyterian Church and then headed up to the Dunadry Hotel. It was a beautiful hot sunny day and the day went so smooth as these guys are just such a pleasure to be around, so easy going.

I thought this was a great idea, all the guests were given a little tree as a favor to take away and plant.

This little flower girl was so adorable, she is from france and was trying to teach me some french words all day. This was the little bear she got as a gift from the bride and groom. She also tried to photograph me with her little point & shoot camera.

Grace and Robert were married in the First Presbyterian Church Carrickfergus and then to the Clarion Hotel. They got permission to have some of their photographs shot inside Carrickfergus Castle which was different, the first time I was ever inside it. We had to make a quich dash quite a few times when the rain came down.

It’s been hard getting around to blogging, I’m afraid editing albums had to come first as I have been very busy shooting weddings this past few months. When Sarah went through her wedding plans with me I was a little bit worried that her wedding was out doors… No covering! With all the rain we have in Northern Ireland I thought it was a brave move. Their wedding was in the beautiful grounds of Rowallane Gardens in Saintfield Co Down and thankfully it turned out it was one of the few beautiful sunny days we had this summer.

Shona & Adrian
Shona Jane and Adrian were married at the Old Inn Crawfordsburn. It rain on and off all day, so it was dodging in and out to keep dry. When we headed down to the country park for photographs the rain came down so hard I thought we wouldn’t be able to get out of the cars, after the photos I suggested that we should go to the beach, the look on everyones face was one of horror. After a few dull shots the sky cleared and the sun decided to shine on us for about 30 mins, just long enough to get some great shots.

Alison and Paul were married on Friday 18th March at the Druminis Presbyterian Church in Hamiltonsbawn, a beautiful little church in Armagh. The venue was the Clarion Hotel Carrickfergus. It was a clear sunny day, but very windy and it only started to rain as I was leaving. The 18th of March was Red Nose Day so Alison and Paul and wedding party were up for a laugh and wore their Red Nose for some of the photographs.

Grace and Robert are such a beautiful couple, so down to earth and easy going. Robert is from Carrickfergus and Grace is from Chelmsford England were they both live and work as teachers. They both agreed to have their photo shoot done at Mount Stewart just outside Newtownards where I live, I shoot quite a few of my couples here because no matter what this old Northern Ireland weather throws up you are quite sheltered from the elements.
The whole day lasted far longer than we expected as the weather was fantastic and we chatted so much about the run-up to their wedding on the 6th August this year. We finished up in the tea rooms of Mount Stewart were I had to force myself from feasting on some of their beautiful cakes and scones and went over all the details of their wedding day as they fly back home later this week and I won’t get a chance to see them again.
Thank you Grace and Robert for being such a joy to work with, it was a great day, I can’t wait to shoot your wedding.

This is our little toy Poodle J-Lo (she came with the name), a few people have seen me out walking her while driving and passed before they realized it was me and have emailed asking what sort of dog is it. So here is a closer look. She doesn’t seem to like a camera pointed at her, every time I lifted the camera she turned her head.
